There have been many examples of American V8's being fitted into the Series 3 E Type and finding a replacement original
E Type engine is almost impossible. The problem of using the XJS or XJ12 engine is that they have the oil filter fitted to the side of the engine and the sump is 'winged'. Both of these issues make the engine foul the E Type engine frames.
Our conversion kit allows removal of the oil filter housing and is replaced with small oil distribution block. This then allows the oil to be diverted to a remote filter and oil cooler situated under the sandwich plate. The oil returns to the il distribution block and carries on its intended flow to the camshafts.
